This interlink has a completely different character than the MIT Terminator 2 speaker cable. After hearing the latter I thought that the MIT house-sound was full-fat-thick-smooth’n rich, but after having heard more MIT products it seems as if the entry-level products are more smooth and the more high-end products ever more precise. This goes for the Shotgun interlink too. It is very tight, fast, precise and dynamic but also dry and tonally flat. It could do with some more color and fluidity.
A late comment on MIT. These Shotgun interlinks indeed sound lean ad analytical. However, the series above Shotgun, called Magnum, sound full and round, as does the top series Oracle, adding improvements over Magnum in every respect. Since the year 1998, I made these upgrades. The five MIT series Exp, Avt, Shotgun, Magnum and Oracle were discontinued a long time ago. I would say used Magnum and Oracle interlink are generally a good buy; Shotgun not so much. However, Shotgun loudspeaker cables do not sound lean as the interlinks do.
Thanks John, great feedback!
