Highly affordable MD recorder with Super-dependable transport (despite being a simple thin steel plate and plastic affair) and sounds much, much better than you’d expect. Notably, recordings made from analog sources (LP) keep the analog quality of the original recording and sound smooth and fluid.
Surprisingly this JE500 sounds much better when recording (both analog and digital) than the JE520 which is supposed to be the better machine. The JE500 sounds more natural, the JE520 sounds veiled/plasticky/filtered/synthetic.
