A10Audio takes its name from its close vicinity to the “Ring A10”, which is the main motorway around the city of Amsterdam. Exit 105 is a mere handful of meters away from A10Audio, which comes in handy if you want to take your newly purchased high-end goods home as soon as possible!
Store owner Alex Loth has been in the audio business for decades and even though he sometimes contemplates taking things more slowly, his heart and soul remain with the store and his clientele. This is not just business, it’s passion!

Below is a collage of photos taken of Alex’s cozy and atmospheric A10Audio store, starting with the gorgeous Magico M3 is currently set up in the prime position with the top-of-the-line Aurender N30SA Music Server, dCS Apex Rossini, EMM Labs DV2 V2 preamplifier, and Soulution 511 power amplifier.
I’ve heard this system play and can say that it sounds highly transparent and well-resolving (as one might expect) as well as smooth, tonally deeply saturated, and ultra-refined (as one might not necessarily expect from a combination of Soulution and Magico). The bass was deep and full-bodied, the midrange open yet lush and sweet, and the treble precise yet super-delicate and devoid of any hardness or edge.
When I shared my impressions with Alex and expressed that I was especially pleasantly surprised by the 511’s level of refinement, he smiled in agreement. As I am finding now and then during my reviews, prejudices do not always hold water. Clearly, the 511 outperforms its reputation, and more importantly, Magicos certainly need not sound clinical.
Powered by an Ansuz Mainz8 D-TC Supreme power distributor and a host of Ansuz Mainz power cables, this system provides analysis and musicality in equal measure. But don’t take my word for it, go and hear it for yourself!

Arguably as important as the audio equipment (at least for the mood;-) is the coffee machine. When visiting A10Audio, coffee is routinely served along with a nice bowl of “bitterkoekjes”, which are addictive sweet cookies made of almonds.
On top of this rack is an inconspicuous but actually very special turntable: the Pluto Audio 12A, proudly made in the Netherlands.
Anywhere you look, it is obvious that Alex has a special place in his heart for analog. The store is littered with turntables, cartridges, arms, and other analog paraphernalia.

This is the Reed Muse 3C turntable that can uniquely as well as easily be converted from 2-motor idle-drive to belt-drive in mere minutes.
The Second Floor is filled with more mouth-watering loudspeakers and audio equipment from Børresen, Raidho, EMM Labs, Luxman, Aavik, Pass Labs, Moon, and more.
The beautiful painting is made by artist Kerry Horne who is originally from North Carolina and currently exhibiting in Gallery Villa del Arte.
The second floor features two complete systems and this is the “smaller” system.
The first floor contains a sheer forest of Børresen loudspeakers right up to the imposing O5, peacefully accompanied by a pair of Raidho D2.1 HG.
This is the large system on the second floor with Børresen O1 flanked by the massive O5. The speakers are accompanied by an assortment of electronics, among others the EMMLabs DV2, NS1 streamer, and 2x Moon 860v2 power amp, both in Bridge mode. Alex confirms that these amplifiers do indeed retain all their finesse while gaining power and authority when in Bridge Mode.
