In the picture above, the left box is the optional phono module. The right hand box is the line stage module. You can still find the Consonance second hand, some have phono stages, some do not. Whether this is the case or not can be easily found out without lifting the hood: just switch off and on and pay attention to the display. It will tell you either “phono equipped” or the more dramatic “phono deleted”.
Above is a Consonance preamp with the phono stage removed. By placing jumpers across the contacts, the phono input can become a line input.
Thus far, I have never seen these modules sold separately, so if you need phono you better buy a Consonance that has the module installed already!

That information is not very informative. You might add that without module first input became useless. There should be a way to make it line level at least. Now that information would be useful.
