Hi Christiaan, what do you think about this DAC , could be a very good dac, also today, if you listen only to cd, of course?
It’s very rare, does this sound fine? Which could be it’s charateristics?
thank you
I am searching for a vintage DAC or cd player that could be a reference also nowadays (using only CD 16/44 I precise), without spending thousands of euro, what do you think about it, would it be possible? thanks
There are far too many options to list. I suggest browsing the overviews of all the CD players, USB DACs, and S/PDIF DACs that I have reviewed and go from there.
Ok thank you. If you manage to get, it would be nice to review the Nuprime cd transport, CD8T, 9 and 10, a friend of mine has the CD8T and has compared to much expensive transport. And also Metronome cd players and dacs.
Generally speaking, I am searching for something which has timbral accuracy, precision, natural sound and not “digital” sound. I consider “liquid” music from file, simply digital and with less “humanity” than a normal (quality) cd player or dac+transort. For this reason I was searching in the last 20 years productions. thanks

I’ve never heard it, but it shares a lot of DNA with the 2000 DAC. Sonically, it will likely be in the same direction as the 25 DAC.
